DVD Audio Ripper is a simple and easy-to-use software tool developed by Kingdia Software Inc. to help you back up the audio streams of your DVDs and save them in different formats. It supports the most common audio formats, such as MP3, WAV, and AC3. In addition, it supports batch extraction too, so that you can rip the audio of several chapters at once.
The program's user interface is really plain. It allows you to load contents both from a DVD and from a DVD folder stored on your hard drive. Once it has loaded it, all the movie's titles and chapters are displayed on a special squared panel in a hierarchical way. Now you can select the tracks you are interested in by checking or unchecking their individual checkboxes. Furthermore, the program also allows you to select the specific audio track you want to back up when more than one are available for a given chapter.
Finally, you can proceed to select your desired output audio format. You can choose among MP3, WAV, AC3, MP2, and Real Audio. Even more important, you are allowed to configure a specific set of parameters directly related to the format selected. For example, for the MP3 format you can specify the number of channels, the bit rate, the sampling rate, the volume, and some basic metadata about the soundtrack. You may also want to select your preferred output directory where the program will put the resulting audio files. Now you are ready to start the process with the click of a button. more
